Welcome to your professional association!  Welcome to the Association for Knowledge and Learning Management, or AKALM for short.  We are a professional association with a single goal—to become the premier association for practitioners of knowledge and learning management.

It does not matter if you are studying, just beginning your career, working for years, working as a Chief Knowledge Officer, or working as a Chief Learning Officer.  If you serve in the field then you have come to the right place.

Now, how do you get started?  There is much to tell, so I would suggest that you print this out and keep it on hand as you work your way through the list...

Welcome to the Association for Knowledge and Learning Management (AKALM)

AKALM is has been a dream of mine for several years.  It has taken a long time to get this far.  It is unfortunate that I do not have the time to work on this site and work to bet the community thriving.

I hope that this new website puts more power in the hands of the membership.  With this website the members of AKALM will be able to submit items of interest, contribute when they are able, and to build a community.

AKALM features:

  • KLMpedia - Our own KLM online encyclopedia.  AKALM members can add and edit the contents.
  • Submit news that you think would be interesting
  • Newsletters - members can subscribe/unsubscribe to Newsletters.
  • Blogs - members may create their own blogs.
  • Forums
  • Dynamic Poll/Voting booth for on-the-spot results
  • User Profiles - You may create  your own profile so that others in AKALM can get to know you better
  • Connections - as the community grows, members are able to create lists of their favorite community members.  This allows the member to quickly see who is online.
Membership in AKALM is free, so if you are not a member you should be.  To join AKALM all you need to do is to register.  What could be easier?
